The Eastern Regional Health Authority (ERHA) has debunked rumours of a spread of covid19 at the Sangre Grande Hospital.

The rumours began spreading after the Sangre Grande Enhanced Health Centre General Practitioners Clinic, Ojoe Road, Sangre Grande, was relocated to the hospital on May 1-2.

The authority said operations at the centre were temporarily moved to allow scheduled maintenance work to take place there.

In a media release, the ERHA said the rumour is untrue and the Sangre Grande Accident and Emergency department is fully functional and is not being used to treat suspected covid19 cases.
