MOVEMENT for Social Justice (MSJ) head David Abdulah on Thursday evening responded to the Prime Minister's new restrictions to curb the spread of covid19 by saying the Government must now find new forms of economic activity to help people's livelihoods.

Abdulah began by telling Newsday the increase in the number of people contracting covid19 was "very disturbing,",referring to the 328 new cases reported earlier on Thursday by Rowley.

"But the Government has got to find ways of expanding economic activity, because in terms of production, the factories are operating, but restaurants and bars and so on are being closed.

"The Government has to find economic activity, otherwise people's lives will become much so much worse.

"The Government is not really addressing that at all. That is a significant problem. And the Roadmap for Recovery seems to have been completely forgotten. That's all I want to say right now."
