TT footballer Daniel Phillips's English club Watford to play in English Premiership

TT footballer Daniel Phillips may feature in the English Premiership next season after his Watford FC earned promotion to the top flight after a 1-0 win over Millwall in the Championship Division, on Saturday.

Phillips was not in the Watford squad for Saturday's match.

Phillips, who made his debut for TT against Guyana on March 25 in a FIFA World Cup qualifying match, will become the first TT international to play in the Premiership since former TT striker Kenwyne Jones.

Phillips also played for TT against Puerto Rico on March 28.
