Morvant traffic lights repaired

THE Works and Transport Ministry on Saturday said non-functioning traffic signals at the Morvant intersection have been repaired and are fully operational.

In statement the ministry apologised for any inconvenience caused and said it will take necessary action to ensure that concerns with other traffic signals are addressed in the shortest possible time.

The ministry said acts of sabotage was blamed for the disruption of the Morvant lights.

On Friday, San Fernando Mayor Junia Regrello promised that malfunctioning traffic lights at Paria Suites, Sunset Cove, Gulf City and Union Hall would be fixed next week.

The Ministry asked members of the public to report any acts of sabotage to the Police Service'sTraffic Management Branch.
