105 new cases, additional covid19 death reported

THE country has recorded an additional death from the covid19 virus and 105 new cases.

In its 4 pm update on Saturday, the Health Ministry reported that a total of 158 people have died because of covid19.

The ministry also reported that as of 4 pm on Saturday, the number of people vaccinated had increased from 27,697 on Friday to 30,808.

The total number of patients who recovered from covid also increased from 8,092 to 8,129.

The figures represent samples taken between April 21 to 23. There are now 1, 305 active cases.

There are 131 patients in hospital, 223 state quarantine facilities, 1,061 home self-isolation and eight in step-down facilities.

The total number of covid19 cases in Trinidad and Tobago from last March now stands at 9,592.

The total number of people tested at public and private facilities to date is 124,699.
