The outgoing board of the Tobago Festivals Commission Ltd (TFCL) will host a session on Monday to discuss and highlight its performance over the past year.

The board’s term is expected to end within the next few days.

In a post on its Facebook page, the commission said the discussion is being held in accordance with the state enterprises performance monitoring manual.

It said in light of covid19 restrictions, the session will be held virtually.

The commission, chaired by Dr Denise Tsoiafatt Angus, was installed by former secretary of Tourism, Culture and Transportation Nadine Stewart-Phillips on May 1, 2020.

Other members are deputy chairman Penelope Williams, Anthony Arnold Jr, Shane Andrews, Cindy Lou Edwards, Derry Trotman, Kieron Mc Dougall. Louis Lewis and Cheryl Duncan are ex-officio members.

Before taking up the post, Tsoiafatt Angus had served as presiding officer of the Tobago House of Assembly.

But she resigned to run as political leader in the People’s National Movement’s internal election in January 2020.

She eventually ran as an independent candidate in the January Tobago House of Assembly election.

PNM Tobago Council chairman Stanford Callender said her action meant she was automatically expelled from the party.
