JAMAICA will receive an additional 55,200 doses of AstraZeneca covid19 vaccines through Covax on Saturday.

The country got its first supply through this facility – 14,400 doses – on March 15 and has also since got 75,000 doses through the Africa Medical Supplies Platform.

Trinidad and Tobago has received 33,600 doses of the vaccine through Covax. And at a virtual media conference on Wednesday morning, Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh said TT's second shipment may arrive around May.

All Caricom countries except Haiti and Montserrat have got vaccines through Covax. In total, Covax has delivered vaccines to 29 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean.
