171 more covid19 cases, three more deaths

No fewer than 171 new covid19 cases were reported in Tuesday's 4pm update from the Health Ministry.

The cases were found among samples tested from April 17 to 19.

They bring the total active cases to 982.

There have also been three more covid19-related deaths, bringing the death toll to 157.

Cases since March 2020 total 9,135. Of these, 7,996 people have recovered.

There are 86 people in hospital, seven in step-down facilities, 287 in state quarantine and 718 at home in self-isolation.

As at Tuesday at 4pm, 19, 475 people, or 1.44 per cent of the population, had received a dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
