THE UNIVERSITY of the West Indies (UWI) Seismic Research Centre on Sunday afternoon reported another explosive eruption at La Soufriere volcano in St Vincent

The research centre issued a statement minutes later saying, "At 4:49 pm on 18/04/21, there was another explosive eruption at LS (La Soufriere). It's been 52 hours since the last explosive event."

It said there had been "at least 30 identifiable explosive events since the start of this eruptive phase."

The statement said the seismic research centre would continue to monitor and provide updates in the evening's advisory.
