21 new covid19 cases raise active total to 407

The Ministry of Health recorded 21 new covid19 cases in its 4pm update on Wednesday, bringing the number of active cases to 407.

Deaths remain at 145.

These figures reflect samples taken between April 4 and 6.

The update said the number of covid19 cases to date is now 8,235, and 7,683 have recovered from the virus so far.

It said 40 patients are in hospital, 251 in state quarantine, seven in step-down facilities, and 339 in self-isolation.

The total number of people tested to date is 114,666.
