Mayaro teen chopped to death by relative

AN 18-year-old Mayaro man is now dead after a cutlass attack on Sunday afternoon.

Police reported that the victim, Rajesh Sookram, was at a camp at Isthmus Road, Guayaguayare, Mayaro, when around 3.45 pm, his uncle approached him with a cutlass and chopped him on his neck and right shoulder.

Sookram collapsed and died and his uncle fled.

One person is assisting Mayaro police with investigations.
