LIQUOR licences will remain valid for three more months because of difficulties faced in conducting investigations for the licensing committee because of covid19.

Licences that were due to expire on March 31, will be honoured until June 30, the committee said in a public notice.

The licences referred to include spirit retailer's, wine retailer's, hotel spirit, special hotel, restaurant, night bar, spirit grocer's, spirit dealer's, and wine merchant's licences.

“This forbearance is due to the difficulty faced by the agencies required to conduct investigations and submit reports in meeting deadlines due to the challenges of the covid pandemic,” the notice added.
