Man's body found with stab wounds in Morvant

Homicide investigators are still trying to establish the identity of the body of a man found in bushes on the St Francois Valley Road, Morvant on Saturday morning.

Police said passersby found the body at around 6.30 am. A team of officers from the Morvant CID and the North Eastern Division Task Force went to the area where they saw the body with stab wounds to the neck and chest.

Investigators said the man did not have any form of identification cards on him, but was of African descent and appears to be in his late thirties or early forties.

Police suspect the body was dumped in the area since Friday.
