THE Empire Entertainment Everything (EEEmpire) committee will stage the Sunalia pop-up market at the Mount Irvine Bay Resort from April 2-4.

The sunset market will feature over 40 food, fashion and craft vendors, as well as an olio of attractions and activities, including an outdoor cinema, sunset brunch, art workshop, yoga, and cultural showcase on the beachfront and games.

In a media release EEEmpire CEO Ken Sambury said the Sunalia concept marries entertainment with commerce to create a safe meeting space for entrepreneurs and consumers.

“We have a number of really gifted artisans and visionary entrepreneurs that require a quality, visible platform to present their products and services to a willing public. We decided to bring them together in a fun relaxed market space and frankly there is no place more apt than Tobago,” Sambury said.

He said the restrictions of the covid19 pandemic have not only stifled sales and hindered business growth but has also affected the psyche of the consumer.

Sunalia, he says, serves a dual purpose in not only bringing sellers and buyers together but also by providing a safe escape where both can vent. Full pandemic protocols are in place for the event, he added.

“From the time you enter the event and hear the music and feel that energy you will feel that weight lifted. We will be observing all protocols including handwashing, mask wearing and taking data for contact tracing. We want people to also get that much needed release, so we will conduct a yoga session, we have a brunch and beach day planned and there is also an outdoor cinema,” Sambury said.
