AFTER weeks of uncertainty of its arrival date, Trinidad and Tobago's supply of covid19 vaccines is on its way.

The 33,600 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine are scheduled to arrive on Wednesday.

Last week, Jamaica became the first Caribbean country to get vaccines through Covax, receiving 14,400 doses.

A live tracker on PAHO's (Pan American Health Organization) website showed supplies are on their way to Suriname, Guyana, Belize and TT.

Suriname will get 24,000 doses on Friday, and Guyana and Belize will get 33,600 each. Guyana's will arrive on Tuesday and Belize's on Wednesday.

In total, Covax has delivered 2,213,280 doses of the vaccine so far.
