Sookoo's autopsy to be done on Wednesday

THE autopsy on Cedros teen Matthew Sookoo will be done on Wednesday morning.

Sookoo, 14, fell overboard in a boat accident on Saturday at Cedros Bay. The Coast Guard found his body on Monday morning.

His friends, family and other residents of the Fullarton community in Cedros have been distraught.

His body was taken to the Forensic Science Centre in St James and was tested for covid19 on Tuesday morning.

A relative told Newsday they were told Matthew's clothing was not enough evidence to identify his body but were able to do so after pointing out a scar on his leg.

No final funeral arrangements have yet been made but relatives say it may take place on Thursday.
