One dead, another wounded in Malick shooting

POLICE are continuing enquiries into an early morning shooting where one man was killed, and another wounded in Malick.

Police said Shem Hope and another man were in the garage of a house at Upper Sixth Avenue, Malick, at around 3 am, when they were shot at.

A relative who was in the house heard the gunshots and on checking saw Hope and the other man bleeding on the ground.

The relative called the police who went to the scene and took the wounded man to the hospital where he was treated.

A district medical officer went to the area and declared Hope dead.

Homicide investigators are continuing enquiries.
