UWI addresses sexual harassment allegations

THE University of the West Indies in a statement from its marketing department on Thursday, said it is addressing sexual allegations levelled against a staff member.

It said, "The University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus, notes with deep concern serious allegations appearing on social media platforms against one of its teaching staff regarding sexual harassment, sexual assault, and inappropriate use of university premises.

"The campus administration wishes to assure the university community and our stakeholders that these allegations are being taken seriously and the matter is being appropriately addressed."
