Advertising agency McCann won the highest award at the recently announced 2021 Caribbean Advertising awards. From the 550 entries from 44 advertising companies across the region, McCann won overall best of show for the bmobile ad created to inspire the nation to “be safe bhome” during the covid19 pandemic.
The entry was also awarded best of film, video and sound for “great scripting and writing presenting a different mindset”. The video was produced by director Miguel Galofré and producer Liselle James of T&T Rocks.
The gold award winning campaign was developed during the pandemic with bmobile temporarily changing to “bhome” to underscore the importance of staying home and staying safe.
bmobile also won gold for the follow up “bpositive” campaign which encouraged the population to, “stay positive and stay focused as one nation”.
McCann also won another 25 awards, both gold and silver including wins for Angostura, Kiss Baking, Maggi, Carnation and NCB Global Finance.
The American Advertising Awards recognises creative excellence in advertising. Commenting on the awards, McCann’s CEO Stephen Look Tong thanked the agency’s clients for their trust and the talented team that found ways to overcome the challenges of 2020 and continue producing top-shelf, award winning work.
