Cumuto man held for shooting at Jenny's restaurant

A 48-year-old Cumuto man is in police custody for shooting at the restaurant Jenny's on the Boulevard on Tuesday morning.

Police said a team of officers from the Northern Division Area East Operations Unit and Woodbrook CID went to a house in Caratal Road, Cumuto at around 5 pm on Wednesday, when they found the man.

Police found at the house and seized a white Nissan AD Wagon believed to have been used during the shooting.

The man is expected to be interviewed by investigators on Thursday.

The exercise was co-ordinated by ACP Belfon, Snr Supt Ramkhelawan, Supt Edwards, ASP Coggins and field operations by Insp Ward, Sgt Caldon, Cpl Durity and Sgt Khan of the Woodbrook CID.

Police said the shooting at therestaurant, on Cipriani Boulevard, Port of Spain, happenedt at around 2.30 am on Tuesday. No one was harmed.
