Deterioration the Govt way

THE EDITOR: The article about the deterioration of Macqueripe is the way governments treat almost everything. The modus operandi is always the same. Some government organisation with the approval of some minister decides to spend millions on upgrading some public feature, only to let it disintegrate so they could spend millions again.

While Macqueripe is an example, there are the pretty lights that were put up around the Savannah’s walkway. They stopped working when the bulbs blew. They can’t even replace bulbs to keep the lights on. It will probably cost millions to put in new bulbs and make the lights work again.

No hope.
