Douglas Clarke, author of Rugby in Trinidad and Tobago, 1870 to 2000: Camaraderie for Life, presented a copy of his book to recently appointed TT Rugby Football Union (TTRFU) technical director of development Vernlyn Ross.

Ross is keeping his fingers crossed for the resumption of rugby this year, so he can get back to carrying out his development plans.

In the meantime, he plans to enjoy the memories of full-contact sport by dipping into Clarke’s publication.

Ross coached the first national women’s team in 2001 and has 50 years’ coaching experience under his belt.

The book is available at RIK., Nigel R Khan, Paper Based, Rainy Days and the Queen’s Park Cricket Club.
