Rajah hits 75 in Red Force trial

ISAIAH Rajah struck 75 and the spin pair of Yannic Cariah and Bryan Charles both snatched three wickets on the opening day of a three-day TT Red Force trial match at National Cricket Centre in Couva, on Tuesday.

The squad is preparing for the upcoming West Indies Four-Day Championships.

Batting first, the Red Force Simmons XI were dismissed for 265 with Rajah leading the way. Rajah’s knock came off 153 deliveries which included ten fours. Marlon Richards and captain Keagan Simmons were also among the runs with 49 and 45 respectively.

Experienced leg spinner Cariah grabbed 3/26 in 8.1 overs and off spinner Bryan Charles bagged 3/35 in 16 overs.

In reply, the Red Force Katwaroo XI closed on 20 without loss with Jeremy Solozano unbeaten on 18.
