Motorcyclist crashes after being shot in San Juan

A 32-year-old man is in stable condition after he was shot while riding his motorcycle in San Juan on Monday night.

Police said the man was riding along the Santa Cruz Old Road at around 9.25 pm when he heard gunshots, felt a burning in his back and crashed into a parked car.

Passers-by saw the accident and called the police.

Members of the North Eastern Division Task Force and San Juan police took the man to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex where he was treated for a gunshot to his lower back.

Police found and seized seven spent shells.

San Juan police are continuing enquiries.
