THE Hall of Justice in Port of Spain has been temporarily closed after a staff member contracted covid19.

In a release, the Judiciary said it will be making “every effort to have a speedy return to pandemic-restricted operations as the requisite quarantine and sanitisation arrangements are being effected.”

Contact tracing is under way and the building has since been sanitised.

It said, “The Judiciary regrets any inconvenience that may be caused by the adjustment in operations at the Hall of Justice and thanks the public and other stakeholders for their understanding. ”Virtual hearings will continue in the High Court and Court of Appeal. An update will be provided by Monday.
