An Enterprise man was expected to face a Chaguanas magistrate on Tuesday charged with having a gun and ammunition and receiving stolen property.

Chris Shade, 27, of School Lane, is the fifth man to be charged in connection with a robbery that occurred at a house at Grant Street, Couva in June 2020.

A police release on Tuesday said PC Huggins of Couva CID charged Shade on Monday.

The four other co-accused are Joshua “Ketchup” Deonarine, Jeremy “Madman” Tacklal, Pretam “Boy Boy” Ramsaran and Navi Ram.

On the arrest of Shade, police said detectives received further information and went to his home last Friday. During a search, the officers allegedly found a .38 revolver with two rounds .38 ammunition and a Samsung 42-inch smart television, identified as the robbery victim's property.

Police immediately arrested him.
