CoP sends condolences on Rio Claro PC's death

Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith and the Police Service executive have sent their deepest condolences to relatives and colleagues of PC Jesse Ramroop.

On Monday, a police release said Ramroop, 37, went to bed at his home in Rio Claro at around 10 pm on Sunday.

At around 6.30 am on Monday, his wife found him unresponsive and he could not be resuscitated.

Ramroop was last assigned to the Matelot police station.

An autopsy is expected to be done on his body.

Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
