Two held for robbery, gun, ammo in St Joseph

Police arrested two St Joseph men on Thursday afternoon.

They said members of the Northern Division Task Force West, Canine Unit and Tunapuna police led by Snr Supt Ramkhelawan went to several drug blocks in the area at around 6 pm.

At a suspected drug den on Savary Street, they searched a 30-year-old man and found a Glock 21 pistol with 12 rounds of ammunition and an extended magazine.

Police then went to Lluengo Village, Maracas, St Joseph, where they arrested a 21-year-old man for a series of robberies in the area.

Both men were taken to the St Joseph police station, where they will be interviewed today.

St Joseph police are continuing enquiries.
