Robinson-Regis on extended sick leave

MINISTER of Planning and Development Camille Robinson-Regis has had surgery and is now on extended sick leave while she recuperates, said a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister on Thursday. Senator Allyson West will act as Minister of Planning and Development from Thursday and continuing until Robinson-Regis returns to work.

The statement said West will act in this role in addition to the discharge of her normal duties.

Newsday tried but was unable to contact Robinson-Regis, nor Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh nor Communication Minister Symon de Nobriga to seek further details on the former’s condition.
