23 new covid19 cases bring active total up to 300

The Ministry of Health recorded 23 new covid19 cases on Friday.

The new cases reflect samples taken between January 12 and 14.

The 4pm update on Friday said of the 23 new cases, two are recently repatriated nationals.

It said the number of deaths remains at 130 and there are 300 active cases .

The total number of cases is 7,343 with 6,913 patients recovered.

There are 30 patients in hospitals and 15 in step-down facilities. State quarantine facilities are holding 363 patients and there are 232 people in self-isolation.

The update said to date 77,219 people have been tested, and 35,022 of these tests were done at private facilities.
