"The PNM has been trying to distract attention from the main issues."

So says Pastor Terrance Baynes, PDP candidate for Bethel Mt Irvine in the upcoming THA elections.

Baynes said since the expose` by the PDP’s deputy political leader and candidate for Parlatuvier/ L’Anse Fourmi/ Speyside about the circulating management letter of the audit of the financial statement of the THA for the years ending 30th September 2016, and $2.5 million outstanding Main Ridge zip line, a lot of “PNM officials and even some of the bottom feeders” have begun to go the route of personal attacks against the leaders and the candidates of the PDP.

Baynes said since the exposé by the PDP’s deputy political leader and candidate for Parlatuvier/L’Anse Fourmi/Speyside about the circulating management letter of the audit of the financial statement of the THA for the years ending September 30 2016, a lot of “PNM officials and even some of the bottom feeders” have begun to go the route of personal attacks against the leaders and the candidates of the PDP.

“They’ve been trying to lapwing us. They’ve been trying to shift the attention from the real issues,” he said.

He added: “Facts are very stubborn, but in spite of the attempt to distract us, we must continue to ask where is the zipline? We must continue to ask why an airplane ticket for a secretary could cost $57,000.00, we must continue to ask why in the Division of Settlements and Labour a total of $2,726,360.09 cannot be verified. We must continue to ask why as it relates to executive compensation, a presiding officer salary of $7,600 cannot be verified. They’ve been trying to lapwing us, they’ve been trying to shift our focus, but facts are very stubborn, we must continue to ask,” he said.
