Diego Martin man stable after being shot by bandits

A 39-year-old Diego Martin man is being treated for a gunshot wound after an attempted robbery on Tuesday night.

Police said the man was at a lotto booth he runs on Franklin Road, Four Roads, Diego Martin, at around 8 pm when three men came in and announced a robbery.

One of the men shot him before running away without the cash.

Nearby residents heard the shot and found the man bleeding. He was taken to hospital, where he was treated and listed in stable condition.

Four Roads police went to the scene and are continuing enquiries.
