Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) deputy political leader Farley Augustine claims the party is not linked to the United National Congress (UNC).

“The PDP has no relationship with the UNC,” he said on Wednesday in a WhatsApp message. During a People’s National Movement (PNM) meeting at the Buccoo Multipurpose Facility on Monday night, the party’s Tobago leader Tracy Davidson-Celestine called on the PDP to “come clean” about its relationship with the UNC.

She did so after the PDP, at a recent public meeting, accused the PNM-run THA of corruption.

At the Buccoo meeting, Davidson-Celestine said the PDP needs to look at its leader, Watson Duke, before making any accusations about the PNM.

She claimed the PDP met with the UNC before the start of nomination for the upcoming THA election.

On Wednesday, Augustine said Davidson-Celestine should not be concerned about the PDP’s affairs but should instead focus on providing answers about the zipline project that had been planned years ago for the Main Ridge Forest Reserve.
