TWELVE contestants have moved forward to the semi-finals of the Chutneymusic.com Raja (King) competition 2021. The semi-finals will be held on January 23 on the website’s YouTube channel.

The contestants are: from Trinidad, Rickson McDonald singing Aka Lie, Edward Ramdass singing Rani, Trevor G – Aura Adika, Pyaar – More Love, Daddy Chinee – Mera Naam and Khayam “Sugar Daddy” Deo –Kaura.

From Canada are Connector with Marry D Dulahin; Kei Palo – Can’t Take the Horn, and John Sankar – Shantel Gyul.

South Africa's finalists are Vikesh Moonilal who will perform Sita, Sunil Behari with Nadhiya ke Naare, and Vinesh Rambaran singing Patna Saheriya and the Netherlands will field Paul Parsan singing Aaj Kal Ke Lonedan.

McDonald won the People’s Choice competition for the preliminary round, while Deo won the popular vote.

Semi-finalists who choose to contest are required to pre-record an HD video of themselves performing their full song live and submit to Chutneymusic.com on or before January 20. Public voting will be done via Facebook and the popular vote will be judged on YouTube only.

The semi-finals will be held virtually on January 23 at 5 pm Eastern Time on Chutneymusic.com's YouTube Channel.

The Chutneymusic.com Rani (Queen) Competition 2021 contestants will compete in the CRC 2021 finals on February 6 on Chutneymusic.com’s YouTube Channel.
