All deserve to come back home

THE EDITOR: Having seen my 91st birthday, I am in the group of citizens deemed at “greater risk” to the covid19 pandemic.

I thank my God for bringing me this far, as well as my friend Stuart Young and his ministerial colleagues, whose duty it is to protect TT citizens from covid19.

It is my view however, that guarding our borders should be more humane, and any citizen or non-citizen for that matter, who can produce a reliable covid19-negative test, should be allowed to enter the country, with appropriate quarantine conditions. Every citizen is entitled to the protection of the State, as guaranteed by the TT Constitution.
