Two held for bullets, knife and marijuana in Tunapuna

Two men are in custody for possession of bullets, a knife and marijuana last Thursday.

A TTPS press release stated that Tunapuna police were on patrol at around 11 pm when they stopped a white Toyota Yaris and searched the two men inside. Officers found two rounds of 9mm ammunition on one man and a knife and 65 grams of marijuana on the other.

Both men 20 and 25 who re from Tunapuna and Trincity respectively were arrested and taken to the Tunapuna police station for questioning.

Police said the bullets had the markings “TTR” which suggested they were issued by the regiment.

Tunapuna police are continuing enquiries.
