Marabella couple on ganja charge

A 35-YEAR-OLD man and his 31-year-old wife were jointly charged on Thursday for the possession of marijuana after police found more than 100 grams of the decriminalised substance at their Marabella home.

Police carrying out search warrants in Marabella and Princes Town went to the Battoo Boulevard, Marabella home. While searching they found 101 grams of marijuana in a plastic bag in a medicine cabinet.

The couple, identified as Solomon Babwah and Candy Babooram Cuthbert, are expected to appear before a San Fernando magistrate today.
