JSC examines covid19 measures at airports

THE first public parliamentary event for 2021 will take place on Wednesday morning when a joint select committee (JSC) examines the health and safety procedures of the Airports Authority in light of covid19 restrictions.

The JSC on Local Authorities, Service Commissions and Statutory Authorities Committee, chaired by Independent Senator Dr Varma Deyalsingh, is due to sit virtually in public at 10.15 am, after briefly convening in private beforehand.

So far the Parliament website had no word on when the House of Representatives and the Senate will each sit, as also confirmed by a parliamentary source.
