8 new covid19 cases

The Ministry of Health reported eight new covid19 cases on Tuesday.

The new cases reflect samples taken between January 2 and 4.

The 4pm update on Tuesday said five of the eight new cases are recently repatriated nationals.

The number of active cases has decreased to 324 from 333 on Monday.

There have been no new deaths, so the total remains 127.

Since March there have been 7,186 cases and 6,735 patients have recovered.

There are 25 patients in hospitals and 63 in step-down facilities. There are 220 patients in state quarantine facilities and 228 in self-isolation.

Of those, 17 are in the care of the prison system.

The update said a total of 74, 359 people have been tested to date, 33,346 of them at private facilities.
