Enterprise man, 25, held with gun, ammo

Police from the Central Division Gang Unit (CDGU) held a 25-year-old man during an anti-gang operation in Enterprise on Saturday for having a gun and ammunition.

The man, who lives at Rita Street in Enterprise, was expected to be charged for the offences. Once charged, he will face a Chaguanas magistrate.

On Sunday, a police release said members of the CDGU were on patrol in Enterprise at 8.45 pm on Saturday when they saw a group of men acting suspiciously.

The officers held and searched them.

The release said police allegedly found a Glock with a magazine with five rounds of .40 calibre ammunition on the suspect.

The CDGU is continuing investigations.
