UWI dean in accident

DEAN of the Faculty of Law at UWI, St Augustine Prof Rose-Marie Belle Antoine is in a stable condition at St Clair Medical Centre after she was involved in an accident in Port of Spain.

Newsday understands she was driving along Wrightson Road on Thursday night when a truck collided with the back of her vehicle.

She was taken to the Port of Spain General Hospital, then transferred to St Clair, where she remains in a stable condition.

Former St Lucia prime minister Dr Kenny Anthony, her husband, in a Facebook post assured that she was not “fighting for her life” and asked for the public to grant her privacy at this time.
