8 more covid19 cases confirmed

THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH confirmed in the latest covid19 update that eight more people have tested positive over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total active cases to 360.

On Thursday 18 new cases were reported and on Wednesday there were five new cases.

Cases have been trending below 20 per day for the majority of the week with the lowest amount of new cases being on Monday with three new cases and the highest being on Thursday with 18 new cases.

The total number of positive cases now stands at 7,158, with 6,671 recovered and 127 deaths.

There are 66 people in step-down facilities, 216 in state quarantine facilities and 261 in home self-isolation.

The Ministry noted that of the 261 people in home self-isolation, 17 are in the care of the prison system.
