8 new covid19 cases reported Sunday

The number of new covid19 cases remains below ten for a second day as eight new cases have been reported on Sunday.

A Ministry of Health update at 4 pm said the eight new cases brought the total number of active cases to 436.

On Saturday the number of new cases were seven.

The total number of cases since March 12 stands at 7,112. There have been 6,551 recoveries and 125 deaths. There are 41 people in step-down facilities, 134 people in state quarantine facilities and 358 people in self-isolation.

The ministry noted that, of the people in isolation, 37 were in the care of the prison system.
