18 new cases,no deaths reported

Eighteen new covid19 cases, including one from Tobago, have been reported from samples taken between December 21 and 23.

As no new deaths have been reported, the total remains at 125.

The number of active cases stands at 461, ten more than Wednesday’s total of 451, according to the health ministry’s release on Thursday.

There are 6,503 recovered patients, eight more than Wednesday, with 7,089 total cases since March. There are 25 patients in hospital, 53 patients in step-down facilities, and 384 people in state quarantine facilities.

Wednesday’s figures were 25, 51 and 438 respectively. Of the 365 people in home self-isolation, up from 328 on Wednesday, 37 remain in care of the prison system. The number of tests from public and private facilities since March stands at 70,532, with 30,951 being done at private health facilities.
