SORT delivers hampers to needy families

Members of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) assisted several families with food hampers across Trinidad on Thursday.

Police said a team of officers made deliveries to families in communities along the East-West Corridor and central Trinidad beginning from 7 am.

The food hampers were donated by several businesses.

Officers made deliveries in Maloney, La Horquetta, Arima, Laventille and Caroni. They said they would continue deliveries to families throughout the day.

The initiative was co-ordinated by Police Commissioner Gary Griffith, Insp Mark Hernandez and Cpl Waldron.
