Arima man shot 14 times

An Arima man is being treated for gunshot wounds he received in an attack on Tuesday night.

Police said the man was liming with friends near a shop at Hilltop Drive, Maturita Extension, at around 8.30 pm when two men approached and shot him several times before running away.

Passersby took the man to the Arima hospital, where he was treated and listed in stable condition. He was then transferred to another hospital.

Investigators said the man was shot 14 times.
