Trinidad and Tobago Red Force cricketers will participate in the first of five practice 50-over matches at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, from 9.30 am, on Wednesday.

The Cricket West Indies Regional Super50 tournament will be played in Antigua and Barbuda from February 4 to 27.

The TT players who toured New Zealand with the West Indies teams may not be available for the practice matches as they have to complete a mandatory 14-day quarantine on their return to TT.

Darren Bravo, Shannon Gabriel, Joshua Da Silva, Nicholas Pooran and Jayden Seales were the TT players who toured New Zealand with either the West Indies or West Indies A teams.

After Wednesday’s first practice match, the Red Force cricketers will also play against each other on Friday (National Cricket Centre), Monday (Brian Lara), December 28 (National Cricket Centre) and December 30 (National Cricket Centre). All matches begin at 9.30 am.

Red Force will aim for a strong season under new head coach David Furlonge and manager Sebastian Edwards. Both men were hired by the TT Cricket Board over the past two weeks.
