15 new covid19 cases on Tuesday

Fifteen more people tested positive for covid19 on Tuesday. According to the Ministry of Health’s daily update, there are now 573 active cases. On Monday there were 582.

Seven of the most recent cases are from a group of repatriated citizens.

The total number of cases is 6,900. Of these, 6,204 patients have recovered.

Deaths number 123.

The country reported its last covid19 death on Sunday.

The ministry’s 4 pm update on Tuesday said 31 patients were hospitalised and there were  504 people in home self-isolation. Of those, 177 are prisoners under the care of the prison system.

Twenty-three people are in step-down facilities waiting to be discharged and 402 people are in state quarantine.

Four patients from the Tobago covid19 facility have been discharged and 20 patients in home isolation have recovered.
