What now?

THE EDITOR: Much earlier this year, when restrictions on gatherings were first introduced, citizens were informed that ID cards expiring in 2020 would be valid until December 31.

Now, the ID Cards of many thousands of us have expired and if no further guidance is given, we will all descend on the Election and Boundaries Commission offices on January 4 to renew them.

So hopefully this letter would serve as a reminder to the EBC to set up and communicate a schedule of staggered date renewals so as to avoid the predictable chaos that will ensue if no action is taken.
