Paint all taxis same colour

THE EDITOR: Due to the crime situation, all taxis should be registered and painted in one authorised colour, with a lighted “taxi” sign on the roof of the vehicle. The driver's photo, registration and vehicle number should also be visible inside of the taxi, like is done in the US.

All taxis will have to register with the Licensing Office and pay taxes like everyone else.

A person cannot be allowed to decide one day that he is going to be a PH taxi driver without the proper authorisation. Some of these people may very well be criminals with intentions of hurting the trusting passengers.
